what to get and do for your horse's birthday

Your horse is a member of your family, so it makes sense that you'd want to celebrate their birthday as well!

Why not organise a party for your horse, put some decorations up (make sure that they are safe and won't spook the horses) and invite your yard mates around for some drinks and treats. Your horse would surely love some treats as well - why not try to maek them a bithday cake. Check out this super easy cake that I made for my horse's birthday earlier this year. Also consider what your horse love doing and endulge them - is it jumping, going for a long hack or a day off and massage.

If you are like me, you might want to spoil them with some presents as well. This might be the perfect opportunity to buy that new bridle you have been looking at or the newest set from Equestrian Stockholm. There are a range of therapy rugs that can make your horse's muscle feel better after training or before warm up. Or why not just a new, nice headcollar? And no matter if your horse is just a baby or is reaching the later stages in life, having some portraits made of them is a wonderful way to celebrate your love for them and to keep as memory forever.

Get in touch with me if you want to commission portraits of your horse, or why not of the whole celebration!
